I can hardly believe it, but I've finished my manuscript, "Out Of Breath"!
Thanks for the encouragement from the blog What Woman Write, I was able
to finally tackle this project. It's a huge relief to get something I have
been working on, put away in a drawer for years at a time, then get if done.

Rolling Along...
I'm happy to report that "Out Of Breath" is almost finished! I had to work with John all last week so I couldn't do any writing, but I'm free this week, and after cleaning my house and grocery shopping all day, I'm ready to start fresh tomorrow morning. It's such a relief to be making progress. Hope to be finished in a week. Wish me luck!

Writing Along...
I have finally been able to rewrite the missing pages and once I got through it, it was pretty much a breeze. Nothing like fear and laziness to hold you back! The writing is going along at a pretty fast pace and I'm actually pretty happy with it.
I think I should be able to finish it by the end of April. Yay!

New life, new beginning...
It's been almost 6 months since I posted and left Hawaii. John and I are settled in Temecula, California, near San Diego and my parents. I've been working on my project a little at a time, being completely frustrated because there are missing pages and two drafts that I'm working from that don't exactly match up. I've been working full time with John and there hasn't been a lot of time to devote to it, but he "officially" retired me last week. It free's me up to devote my time to writing and to also start working on mosaic's again. I'm working on a large beveled mirror (38"x32"), which will feed my creative juices. Good to be back!

LINDSEY OUT OF HAWAII
John and I have been in San Diego for a month now. Our furniture is somewhere floating on the Pacific Ocean and we are staying in my parent's guest room until one of two houses we are trying to buy goes through. We are both working like crazy, but not having our own place & privacy is a bit tough. The upside is seeing my mom and step-dad every day, being able to get my mom to her doctor appointments and errands and just generally looking after them and making sure everything is well in their world. I pray for patience and count my lucky stars. Someday, when we actually have our furniture and computer back, the writing will resume.

BACK ON LINE!!!
After a week with no computer, it's back up and running! John and I are in full swing-packing and selling off household stuff we don't want to ship back to San Diego. I've lived in a lot of places, from San Francisco to Martha's Vineyard, and stops in between, so I've packed and moved more times than I can remember. We're making an offer on a house in my parents neighborhood, and hopefully we'll be able to get into the new place by mid-August. Exciting and looking forward to updating and redecorating our own place. I've packed up the manuscript so I won't be working on it until were moved in and set up. I'll be back in August sometime.
